শিলিগুড়ির বিভিন্ন ওয়ার্ডে মোদির ছবিতে গোবর লেপে দেওয়ার ঘটনায় ক্ষুব্দ ভাজপা। বিধানসভা নির্বাচনের প্রচারের জন্য শিলিগুড়ি জুড়ে মোদি ও বিজেপি প্রার্থীর ছবি দেওয়া পোস্টার লাগিয়েছে বিজেপি কর্মীরা। তবে শুক্রবার পোস্টারে নরেন্দ্র মোদির মুখে কেউ গোবর লেপে দিয়েছে। এই ধরণের রুচিহীন রাজনীতি আগে কখনো শিলিগুড়িতে দেখা যায়নি। এই প্রসঙ্গে বিজেপি প্রার্থী শঙ্কর ঘোষ অভিযোগ করে বলেন, নির্দিষ্ট কোনো একটি রাজনৈতিক দল এই রুচিহীন কাজ করেছে। যা শিলিগুড়িতে আগে দেখা যায়নি। এছাড়াও তিনি বলেন, তারা নির্বাচনি আধিকারিকের কাছে অভিযোগ জানাবেন এবং সিসিটিভির ফুটেজ সংগ্রহ করার আবেদন জানাবো।

 

অন্যদিকে তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস প্রার্থী  ওম প্রকাশ মিশ্র এই প্রসঙ্গে বলেন, এই ধরণের ঘটনায় তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস যুক্ত নয়। তবে এই ঘটনা নিন্দনীয়।
