নতুন পুরোনো কাউন্সিলর মুখ নিয়ে গৌতম দেবের মেয়র পারিষদ

কার কাঁধে থাকছে কি দায়িত্ব?

 

বুধবার দলীয়ভাবে মেয়র গৌতম দেব শিলিগুড়ি পুরো নিগমের ডেপুটি মেয়র রঞ্জন সরকার সহ কাউন্সিলরদের মধ্যে থেকে কাদের নিয়ে মেয়র পরিষদ গঠন করবেন তিনি  তা ঘোষণা করেন। দলের বিজয়ী কাউন্সিলরদের সঙ্গে বৈঠকও করেন মেয়ের। বৈঠকের পরই গৌতম দেব বলেন আগামী ৪ তারিখ  দশ জন বোর্ড সদস্য কাউন্সিলর মেয়র পারিষদ হিসেবে শপথ গ্রহণ করবেন। এরপরই পূর্ণাঙ্গ বোর্ডের দায়িত্বপ্রাপ্তত মেয়র পরিষদের দায়ভার বন্টন করে দেওয়া হবে। গৌতম দেব বলেন আগে অফিসে আসবে তারপর তো বিভাগ বন্টন হবে।

১০ই মার্চের পুর এলাকার পাঁচটি বোরোর চেয়ারম্যানদের নির্বাচন সংগঠিত হয়ে তারা দায়িত্বভার তুলে নেবেন। অন্যদিকে এদিন মেয়র গৌতম দেব পুরো দপ্তর সহ একাধিক জরুরি বিভাগের সঙ্গে বৈঠক করেন। মেয়র জানান ২০-২১ আর্থিক বর্ষের ইতিমধ্যেই ২৬৭প্রকল্পের কাজ শেষ হয়ে গিয়েছে। ২১-২২আর্থিক বর্ষের ৪৮টি প্রকল্পের কাজ শুরু হবে।১৭টি এখনও কাজ শুরু করা যায়নি এরমধ্যে কিছুক্ষেত্রে টেন্ডারে সাড়া মিলছে না। চারটি প্রকল্প খারিজের সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে যা রাজ্যকে জানিয়ে দেওয়া হবে। এরমধ্যে অধিকাংশ কাজই শিলিগুড়ি ৪৭টি ওয়ার্ডের রাস্তা, নিকাশি সংযোগ সংক্রান্ত প্রকল্প এর কাজ।
দীর্ঘ সময় ধরে মানুষের সমস্যার এই কাজগুলি পড়েছিল।পুর নির্বাচনের আগে পুরো প্রশাসনিক বোর্ডের দায়িত্বে থাকা সাতমাস সময়ের মধ্যেই এই প্রচুর সংখ্যক কাজ হয়েছে। একইসঙ্গে রাস্তাঘাট নিকাশি উন্নয়ন কাজের আগামীর পরিকল্পনা তুলে এদিন মেয়র বলেন ৪৭টি ওয়ার্ডে পূর্ণাঙ্গ সার্ভে করবে একটি বিশেষজ্ঞ দল। ৪৬ নাম্বার ওয়ার্ড থেকে শুরু হবে। সার্ভে রিপোর্ট নিয়ে ৪৭টি ওয়ার্ড ভিত্তিিক কাজের ডেটাব্যাংক তৈরি করে কাজ হাতে নেবে পুরনিগম।
