শিলিগুড়ি। বিদেশের আদলে শিলিগুড়ি মহকুমার চার ব্লকে পাঁচটি আর্থথেন স্টেডিয়াম। ১০০দিনের কাজের আওতায় প্রত্যন্ত গ্রামীণ চা বাগান এলাকায় খেলাধুলোর প্রসারের লক্ষ্যে মাটির স্টেডিয়াম গড়ছে রাজ্য। শিলিগুড়ি মহকুমা চার ব্লকে ১০০দিনের কাজের আওতায় এই কাজের জন্য প্রায় ১৫০ কোটি টাকা রাজ্য সরকারের তরফে প্রকল্প বাবদ বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে। প্রতি স্টেডিয়ামে মাটির দুটি ব্লগে বিভক্ত করে থাকছে ঢেউ খেলানো ঘাস আবৃত ১০০ মিটারের গ্যালারি। প্রায় ৭০০০স্কোয়ার ফিট জমিতে শিলিগুড়ি চার ব্লক ফাঁসীদেওয়া,নকশালবাড়ি, খরিবাড়ী, মাটিগাড়ার ব্লকে প্রত্যন্ত গ্রামীন এলাকায় পাঁচটি মাটির স্টেডিয়াম তৈরি হচ্ছে।শিলিগুড়ি মহকুমার পরিষদের এনআরজিএসের দায়িত্বপ্রাপ্ত আধিকারিক প্রেমা শেরপা জানান গ্রামীন এলাকা বিশেষ করে চা বাগান অধ্যুষিত এলাকাগুলিতে ছেলে মেয়েদের খেলাধুলোর বিষয়টিকে নজরে রেখে এই ধরনের স্টেডিয়াম গড়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে। যেখানে ফাঁকা খেলাধুলার জায়গা বা মাঠ রয়েছে সেখানে গ্যালারি সংযুক্ত মাটির স্টেডিয়াম তৈরি করা হচ্ছে। প্রতি স্টেডিয়াম পিছু ২৪-৩০লক্ষ টাকা বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে।

মাটিগাড়া ব্লকের আঠারোখাইয়ে তিনটি রয়েছে এবং নকাশলবাড়ি ব্লকের মনিরাম জোত তেহানা চা বাগান এলাকায় ১টি ও খরিবাড়ী ব্লকের হাওয়দাভিটা বাজার সংলগ্ন এলাকায় ১টির কাজ শুরু হয়েছে। ফাঁসীদেওয়া ব্লকের ক্ষেত্রে প্রযুক্তিগত সমস্যার কারনে এখনও চূড়ান্ত রিপোর্ট মহকুমা দপ্তরে পৌঁছায়নি যার জেরে ওয়ার্কঅর্ডার করা সম্ভব হয়নি বলে জানান তিনি। নকশালবাড়ি পঞ্চায়েতের এনআরজিএস নির্মাণ সহায়ক রাজেন মিস্রা জানান ১০০দিনের কাজের আওতায় স্টেডিয়াম তৈরির ক্ষেত্রে ২০০ শ্রমিক কাজ করছে। ব্লকের ১০০দিনের কাজের আওতায় থাকা শ্রমিকদের দুটি গ্রূপ করে ১৫দিন অন্তর অন্তর ২০০জনকে দিয়ে কাজ করানো হচ্ছে। স্টেডিয়ামের গ্যালারির কাজ প্রায় শেষের দিকে, দুটি ব্লগে বিভক্ত করে মাটির ওপর সবুজ ঘাসের আচ্ছাদন কার্পেটে আকারে বিছিয়ে দেওয়া হবে। এতে মাঠের সবুজ ঘাসে বসে খেলা দেখার স্বাদ মিলবে দর্শকদের। মার্চের মধ্যেই কাজ সম্পন্ন হয়ে যাবে।এদিকে নকশালবাড়ির বিডিও বাপী ধর জানান মাটির স্টেডিয়ামের কাজ প্রতি ব্লকেই চলছে। এতে ব্লক এলাকার ছেলে মেয়েদের খেলাধুলোর প্রসার ঘটার পাশাপাশি বিভিন্ন আন্তঃব্লক ক্রীড়া প্রতিযোগিতা, ট্যুরানামেন্ট গুলি আয়োজন করা সম্ভব হবে।
