করোনার দ্বিতীয় ঢেউয়ে বেসামাল দেশের স্বাস্থ্য পরিষেবা। রাজ্যের জুড়ে লম্বা লাইনে দাঁড়িয়েও মিলছে না ভ্যাকসিন। এবার সেই আঁচড় দার্জিলিং জেলাতেও। শুক্রবার থেকেই জেলায় কোভিশিল্ড ও কো ভ্যাকসিনের ডোজ না থাকায় অধিকাংশ ভ্যাকসিনেস সেন্টার গুলিকে বন্ধ রাখা হয়। উত্তরবঙ্গ মেডিকেল কলেজ ও হাসপাতালেও ভ্যাকসিন দেওয়া হয় নামমাত্র। আর শনিবার ভ্যাকিসিন অমিলের জেরে দ্বিতীয় ডোজ নিতে গিয়ে ফিরতে হলো শিলিগুড়ি বিধানসভার সদ্য প্রাক্তন বিধায়ক ও মেয়র বয়স বাহাত্তুরের অশোক ভট্টাচার্যকে। বর্তমানে তার বয়স বাহাত্তুর বছর তাই সিনিয়র সিটিজেনের ভ্যাকসিন শুরু হতেই নির্বাচনের আগে ভ্যাক্সিন নেন অশোক বাবু। তবে দ্বিতীয় ডোজ নিতে গিয়েই তাকে শুনতে হলো ভ্যাক্সিন নেই। যদিও শুধু অশোক ভট্টাচার্য্য নন সরকারি থেকে বেসরকারি সর্ব ক্ষেত্রেই শনিবার দিনভর ভ্যাকসিনের দ্বিতীয় ডোজ নিতে আসা বয়স্ক নাগরিকদের বিভিন্ন ভ্যাক্সিনেশন কেন্দ্র ও বেসরকারি হাসপাতাল থেকে ফিরিয়ে দেওয়া হয়। আর এর পরই এদিন অশোক বাবু নিজ ফেলে আসা শিলিগুড়ি পুরনিগমের মেয়র আসনে বর্তমানে দায়িত্বে থাকা প্রশাসক সুরেন্দ্র গুপ্তাকে কোভিড পরিস্থিতি মোককবিলার জন্য একাধিক পরামর্শ দিয়ে ডেপুটেশনে দেন। অশোক বাবু জানান শহরে এখনি কোভিড নিয়ে হাউস টু হাউস সার্ভে করতে হবে। আক্রান্তের যে হারে বাড়ছে তাতে ভয়ানক পরিস্থিতি হবে শহরের। পাশাপাশি স্বাস্থ্য দপ্তরের উদ্দেশ্যে তিনি জানান দ্রুত বেসরকারি হাসপাতালগুলি পুনরায় অধিগ্রহণ করা দরকার সঙ্গে উত্তরবঙ্গ মেডিকেল কলেজ ও হাসপাতালের করোনার চিকিৎসা ও পরিকাঠামো উন্নয়ন প্রয়োজন।

 

যদিও এরমাঝে কিছুটা স্বস্তির কথা শোনাচ্ছে জেলা স্বাস্থ্য দপ্তর। জেলা স্বাস্থ্য দপ্তরের মুখ্য স্বাস্থ্য আধিকারিক ডাঃ প্রলয় আচার্য্য জানান শনিবার রাতেই জেলায় ঢুকছে ভ্যাকসিনের ২২থেকে ২৩হাজার ডোজ। সোমবার থেকেই যা মিলবে সমস্ত সরকারি টিকাকরন কেন্দ্রগুলিতে। তিনি জানান ভ্যাকসিন চাহিদা তুলনায় কম ঠিকই তবে সমস্ত টিকাকরন কেন্দ্রগুলিতে সোমবার থেকে ফের ভ্যাক্সিন দেওয়া হবে। যদিও জেলায় আসা ভ্যাকসিন ডোজের সরবরাহের তালিকায় আপদত নাম নেই বেসরকারি হাসপাতাল ও টিকাকরন কেন্দ্রগুলির। অন্যদিকে স্বাস্থ্য দপ্তরের ডেপুটি সিএমওএইচ তিন তথা জেলা ভ্যাকসিনেসনের প্রোগ্রাম অফিসার জানান সপ্তাহে অত্যন্ত ২৭থেকে ৩০হাজার ভ্যাকসিন প্ৰয়োজন। জেলায় ২৩টি সরকারি টিকাকরন কেন্দ্রের পাশাপাশি ১৬টি বেসরকারি ক্ষেত্রে কোভিড টিকা দেওয়া হচ্ছে। তাই জেলা স্বাস্থ্য দপ্তরের সিদ্ধান্ত জেলায় ঢোকা ভ্যাকসিনের ডোজ আপদত শুধুমাত্র সরকারি ভ্যাকসিনেশন সেন্টার গুলিতে সরবরাহ করা হবে।
