কোচবিহার। মাথাভাঙা নিশিগঞ্জ সংলগ্ন সিখতেওয়ারি প্রাইমারি স্কুলের মাঠে বিজেপি প্রার্থী সুশীল বর্মন এর সমর্থনে জনসভার আয়োজন হয়েছিল। মুখ্য বক্তা ছিলেন শুভেন্দু অধিকারী। সকাল ১১টায় সভা হওয়ার কথা থাকলেও সেই সভা শুরু হতে হতে দুপুর ১টা পেরিয়ে যায়। প্রচন্ড রোদ গরমে কার্যত কর্মীরা উপস্থিত হতে পারলেন না শুভেন্দুর সভাতে। মনোক্ষুন্ন শুভেন্দু কুড়ি মিনিটের মধ্যেই মঞ্চ ছেড়ে চলে গেলেন। কর্মীরা হতাশ তার এই আচরণে। কর্মীদের অধিকাংশ-ই মাঠে এসেছিলেন সকাল ন’টায়। তারপরে ঘন্টার পর ঘন্টা অপেক্ষা। এদিন মঞ্চে এসেও খুব জুতসই বক্তব্য দিতে পারলেন না শুভেন্দু। বারবার বলে যাচ্ছিলেন কোচবিহারের প্রাণপুরুষ দের নাম। বির চিলারায় কে চিররায় বলেও সম্বোধন করে ফেললেন তিনি। মনীষী ঠাকুর পঞ্চানন বর্মা কে বর্মন বললেন। কথা বললেন এনআরসি নিয়ে। অনুপ্রবেশকারীরা বেশির ভাগ মুসলিম এমনটাই দাবি করেছেন তিনি। এর পরেই বেরিয়ে যান তিনি।
একইসাথে দিনহাটার সভা ছিল নিশীথ প্রামাণিকের সমর্থনে।
